If I missed any reaction/review posts to any of the four episodes please drop us a line in the comments or email. Thanks!
Notes from the mods:
1) For fanfic, our policy is only to include stories on livejournal unless links to off-LJ fic have been posted in main Life-related LJ communities. If you want to read more, there is a small collection of Life fanfic over at fanfiction.net.
2) We will not be linking to comment-fic or drabbles under 300 words.
3) For WIPs, we'll hold off the linkage until the stories are finished.
4) Pairing short-hand for those unfamiliar with the custom: forward slash between the names (e.g. Crews/Reese) = romantic or sexual context, vs. Crews & Reese = non-romantic partnership story.

1) You don't need to put the FAQ about what kind of stuff you link at the top of every single post. Put it in the userinfo, or do a larger FAQ post you can link in the userinfo.
2) Don't link everything, especially reaction posts. I know that for me, I friend fandom newsletters to get links to fic and articles, but I friend individuals to get things like reaction posts to episodes. I mean, you linked a post of mine that's basically just keymashing -- I'm kind of embarrassed to have that link here, because it's wretched and not necessarily intended for public consumption. (I mean, if you're going to link everyone's reaction posts, whatever, I don't care enough to ask you to take it down, I'm just using this as an example of something that doesn't need to be widely disseminated.) So by all means, link meta if it's thoughtful, considered essays, but there's way too many reaction posts in existence to link to everything, especially as the fandom gets bigger. It just makes the thoughtful, considered posts get lost in the shuffle, imho.
3) I'd suggest finding enough editors that you can put the newsletter out in regularly and consistently, so it doesn't end up being a thousand years long. If you only put it out once a week, with three editors you'd only have to do it every three weeks. That's not very often at all for any given person. (We got more editors a year ago so I only do our newsletter once every ten days, and that seems BLISSFULLY RARE.)
Anyway, sorry I'm probably coming across as bossy! You can obviously take or leave any of this advice. It's just that in my experience, it helps to ask yourself what people are looking for in a newsletter, and in general, I think they're looking for a digest of what's going on in fandom, rather than absolutely everything. I mean, I love Life, but when I see something as long as this, I end up not looking at any of it because it's overwhelming and, you know, I have a job. And that just means all your work is going to waste. So. Something to think about! And again, sorry for the bossiness.
